Spirit Masks
Each Mask begins with a plaster-bandage casting of the face. This plaster mask is then slip cast in clay. The clay mask, after firing, becomes the
slumping mold for the artwork. The glass itself undergoes two firings, one at 1400o F to fuse the glass elements, and one at 1250o F to impress the face.

The first in an experimental series. Unlike Merlin and the Faces, this is a single fuse firing. Small pieces are overlapped, leaving open spaces within the piece.
